While real life may subtly reveal signs of aging, on-screen, he forever remains the invincible Superstar Rajini for his devoted fans. Aamir Khan emphasized that Rajini sir is irreplaceable
Many might not recall that Aamir Khan was actually approached for the lead role in Shankar's "2.0," the sequel to "Robo." However, the actor declined the offer, not due to issues with the script, but because he believed that no one else could embody the characters of Vaseegaran and Chitti as effectively as Rajinikanth. Speaking to ETC Bollywood in 2017, Aamir explained, "Rajini sir felt back then that he wasn’t healthy enough to shoot for the film and suggested that Shankar rope me in. But, when I closed my eyes I could only see Rajini sir in the role; he’s irreplaceable. I’ve read the script, and the film will be a super hit. But I didn’t think anyone but him could do it. It was not a tough decision to turn it down because I am his fan."
